Preston St. Pierre
I started building simple websites in grade five as part of an advanced placement program in my elementary school. In the eleventh grade I first sold my services as a professional web designer, creating and maintaining informational websites for businesses in the community. Throughout school I honed my skills with PHP and MySQL on both personal and commercial projects, continuing to graduate with a Bachelor of Computer Information Systems degree from the University of the Fraser Valley.
Now I do contract work through various outlets, both online and in person. I've built websites using most of the common content management and shopping cart systems, including Magento, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and osCommerce. I've designed databases and application programming interfaces for large projects. I've written and debugged code to run on every major web browser. Even still, I am in a field where you can never stop learning. Each day I am presented with new technology, or new problems with old technology. Each day a new challenge to solve, different than the last.
That's what I do, and I love it.
